Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology combustion laboratory completed the acceptance

On September 13, 2020, the final acceptance of the Combustion Laboratory project of Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology undertaken by our company was completed. The project includes fuel oil and gas combustion equipment and flame propagation and stability equipment. The experimental function, simple operation and debugging training of the equipment have been recognized by the user teachers.

One, combustion equipment:

A bench specially designed to study the combustion of various fuels in a burner when mixed with air. The burner responds quickly to the control and is easy to observe the combustion phenomenon. The main components of the equipment include a φ 450x1000mm combustion chamber (left and right sides each have two φ 100mm observation holes), system console (control the ratio of air and fuel, flow, etc.) and a variety of measuring instruments, gas burner, flue gas installation package, gas analyzer, fuel burner, computer data acquisition system. The equipment can measure inlet, exhaust, fuel temperature and flow rate, cooling water temperature and flow rate, combustion exhaust gas components and other parameters, the equipment can simulate the maximum combustion power up to 150KW.

Experiment content:

A. Familiar with the structural design and functional use of gas burners commonly used in industry

B. Compare the performance parameters of gas burners, including combustion efficiency, adjustment range, flame stability, flame shape, flame radiation heat transfer and flue gas emission

C. Demonstrate the combustion of natural gas (CH4) and liquefied petroleum gas (propane and butane) respectively

D. Study the effects of different fuel and air ratios on combustion efficiency, heat transfer and energy balance

E. Comparative analysis of actual and ideal flue gas composition from combustion (flue gas analyzer required)

F. Compare the combustion of various fuels or fuel additives

Two, flame transmission and stability device:

This is a study of the stability of the flame propagation speed and burning on the combustion mechanism of experimental equipment, the device can adjust the control of air and fuel mixture ratio, can demonstrate the various experimental phenomena (such as fire and put out, the spread of flame, etc.), also can measure all sorts of experimental parameters, including air and fuel pressure, flow rate and temperature, etc

The facility uses a variety of low-speed gas fuels, including propane, butane, methane and LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), and is safely designed to be tested independently without supervision

Experimental functions:

1. Demonstrate the process of flame generation and flame extinction

2. Draw steady flame graph

3. Study the method of increasing the flame stability limit

4. Study the relationship between flame propagation velocity and fuel/air ratio in the case of various low-speed gaseous fuels

5. For students to conduct exploratory experiments, such as: measuring flame propagation speed in glass tube; Study the vertical and horizontal velocities of the flame; Influence of flame interleaving on velocity; Influence of change of propagation direction on flame velocity
